Social justice cannot be achieved in a society in which some people are privileged based on birth, caste color, etc.
Social justice cannot be possible even in a society where there is a huge economic difference between people or where there is exploitation of person by person.
Principles of Social Justice
1. Equality before the law: For achieving social justice, all people must be considered equal from the point of view of the law. In the world of law, no special concession or discrimination should be made to any person based on birth, caste, color, race, etc.
2. Abolition of privileges: Social justice can be achieved only by the people, if special facilities are provided by the government to any class of people, then social justice cannot be achieved in such a country.
The establishment of social equality is necessary for the attainment of social justice. If some concessions are given by the government to a particular class, then social equality cannot even be imagined in such a country.
3. End of caste system: Nature did not make any division among human beings based on caste. In comparison to this, in many countries of the world, man hates his fellow human beings based on caste.
Our own country has been a victim of this inhuman evil for a long time and even in the present time, Rupa Sonar is discriminated against in the name of caste.
Social justice can be achieved only if the caste system is completely abolished and people stop discriminating against their peers in the name of caste.
4. Special facilities to the people of backward classes: Social equality can be established only if some special facilities are given to the people of backward classes for development.
These special facilities or concessions should not be permanent but should be given for a limited period.
The purpose of these special facilities is that the people of the backward classes can develop based on these facilities at the same level as the other generated classes.
5. Democratic System: Social justice can be achieved in a real sense only if the democratic form of government is adopted. In a democratic system, all types of rights are equally available to all people and no special facilities or concessions are provided to any particular class of people.
In a democratic system, general elections are held after some time and in such elections, all the citizens of the country participate equally. If all these professions are implemented, then undoubtedly social justice can be achieved.
6. Economic Security: It is almost impossible for a person to lead a satisfied life without the fulfillment of economic needs. It should be an essential duty of the government to give work to every person according to his ability.
As long as the government does not provide work to a person, the responsibility for the economic security of the person should be on the government.
The meaning of economic security is that the government should give unemployment allowance to such persons so that the unemployed person can fulfill the basic needs of his life.
Apart from this, for the attainment of social justice, it is also necessary that the responsibility of financial security of the sick, elderly, and disabled should be included in the essential duties of the government.
7. Protection of the interests of workers: For achieving social justice, the interests of workers must be protected. For this purpose, it is necessary to fix the maximum working time of the workers.
Apart from this, it is necessary to make arrangements for fair wages and many other facilities for the workers. Unless the government makes special efforts to protect the interests of workers, social justice cannot be achieved.
